Five 16 resistors are connected in series across a 120 v generator. what is the equivalent resistance of the circuit?

Resistors in series just add.

r + r + r + r + r = R
each r = 16
16 + 16 + 16 + 16 + 16 = R
R = 80

The equivalent resistance = 80
